Basketball Game Preview: Shelby Tigers vs. Hart Pirates

Shelby is 0-10 against Hart since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Shelby Tigers will face off against the Hart Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Shelby comes in on five and Hart on 19.

Shelby is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 66-42 margin over Mason County Central on Wednesday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hart got the win against Manistee on Wednesday by a conclusive 66-42. The Pirates are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 12th matchup they've won by 20+ points this season.

Shelby's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Hart, their victory bumped their record up to 22-1.

Shelby came up short against Hart when the teams last played back in February, falling 41-32. Can Shelby avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
