Basketball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern was the 43-20 winner over Bucklin-Macon County when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Northwestern Eagles lost to the Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs on the road by a 39-24 margin on Friday.

Bucklin-Macon County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ebony Winn out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Winn is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kayla Jones, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bucklin-Macon County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Northwestern will face off against East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] at 5:15 p.m. on December 14th. As for Bucklin-Macon County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-43 loss against Atlanta on the 9th.
