Softball Recap: Blanchester Comes Up Short

Blanchester and Williamsburg squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Blanchester had to settle for second. They lost 16-8 to Williamsburg. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Blanchester has suffered since April 9th.

Bailie Bare made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Lansing, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Blanchester is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-12. As for Williamsburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Blanchester nor Williamsburg have any future games scheduled.
