Football Recap: Huntsville Comes Up Short on the Road Against Brenham

Huntsville kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Brenham Cubs, falling 34-13. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 39-35 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

A big part of Brenham's win came down to the chemistry between Hudson Hartstack and his top target Chris Guidry. Hartstack threw for 149 yards and three TDs while Guidry picked up 99 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntsville will challenge Bryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brenham, they will face off against Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
