Baseball Game Preview: DeSoto Central Jaguars vs. Arlington Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as DeSoto Central Jaguars challenge Arlington Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. DeSoto Central will be strutting in after a win while Arlington will be coming in after a loss.

DeSoto Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Oxford 12-2 on Friday. The Jaguars not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Arlington entered their match against Dyer County on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Arlington fell just short of Dyer County by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Arlington and nudges their season record down to 6-4. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for DeSoto Central, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
