Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central extended their losing streak to 11 on Monday, dropping them down to 1-11. They lost 12-5 to the Toll Gate Titans. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Toll Gate, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.

For Toll Gate's part, Edward Rosario made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Rosario has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brady Slinn, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Randall, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
