Baseball Game Preview: Oshkosh North Spartans vs. Appleton West Terrors

The Oshkosh North Spartans will head out on the road to take on the Appleton West Terrors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Oshkosh North's offense. They fell just short of Kaukauna by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Appleton West also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Kimberly on Thursday, falling 15-0.

Appleton West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron St. John, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that St. John has hit this season.

Oshkosh North has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Appleton West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Oshkosh North couldn't quite get it done against Appleton West in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 5-2. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
