Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Chaparral posted their closest victory since October 9, 2024 on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Aliso Niguel Wolverines 2-1.

Chaparral had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Shay Roddy had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 18 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (six). Another player making a difference was Maya Raza, who had nine assists and seven digs.

Chaparral's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Aliso Niguel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season.

Chaparral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Capistrano Valley on the 5th. As for Aliso Niguel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Laguna Beach on the 6th.
