Basketball Recap: Gracie Beane's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Randleman over Southwestern Randolph

After flying high against Eastern Randolph last Tuesday, Randleman came back down to earth. The Randleman Tigers took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwestern Randolph Cougars on Friday. The Tigers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Randleman lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gracie Beane, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Chenleigh Robinson, who posted 11 points.

Randleman's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Southwestern Randolph, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Randleman has already played their next game, a 48-41 defeat against Uwharrie Charter Academy on the 4th. As for Southwestern Randolph, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-26 victory against Eastern Randolph on the 4th.
