Baseball Recap: Clearfield Beats Bonneville for Their Third Straight Victory

Clearfield waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Bonneville Lakers as they made off with a 9-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Hudson Meyer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Brody Mower was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Clearfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Clearfield's record is now 6-8. As for Bonneville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Clearfield will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lakers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
