Soccer Recap: Malibu Takes a Loss

Malibu was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Fillmore Flashes, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 609th, while the Flashes are ranked 167th).

Malibu's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-2. As for Fillmore, their win bumped their record up to 10-4-4.

Malibu will venture away from home to take on Nordhoff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Malibu is facing Nordhoff at the right time seeing as Nordhoff is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Fillmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
