Soccer Recap: Burke Comes Up Short

Burke managed to keep up with Bellevue East until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bulldogs came up short against the Chieftains, falling 3-0. Burke were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Bellevue East earlier this season, when they won 2-2.

Burke has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Bellevue East, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6.

Burke wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Bellevue West on the 11th. As for Bellevue East, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Creighton Prep on the 10th.
