Baseball Recap: Fletcher Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fletcher can now relate to. They fell 3-0 to the Tate Aggies on Wednesday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Senators were not able to get on the board.

Fletcher got a good showing from Bruce Neel, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, Neel didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

Fletcher's loss dropped their record down to 15-9-1. As for Tate, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.

While Fletcher had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
