Baseball Recap: Kenston Comes Up Short

Kenston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions. The Bombers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2023.

Joey Artale made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Kenston's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Kenston will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Riverside at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they will head out on the road to challenge Padua Franciscan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
