Basketball Recap: L.W. Higgins Falls Short of Mt. Carmel in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact L.W. Higgins can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 32-24 to the Mt. Carmel Cubs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-24 last Wednesday.

L.W. Higgins' defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Mt. Carmel, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-12.

L.W. Higgins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Carmel, they will take on Woodlawn-B.R. on Monday. One thing working in Woodlawn-B.R.'s favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
