Softball Recap: Atwater Falls Short of Lodi in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Atwater can now relate to. They fell 6-2 to the Lodi Flames on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Flames recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Atwater saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydence Armando, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Atwater's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Lodi, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Atwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lodi, they will face off against Woodcreek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Flames 2.6, the Timberwolves 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
