Baseball Recap: J.R. Tucker Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monacan, J.R. Tucker was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the John Marshall Justices an 8-0 shutout. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Justices recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Yamal Ferguson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Perkins, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

J.R. Tucker's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for John Marshall, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

J.R. Tucker didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-2 victory against Hermitage on the 23rd. John Marshall has also already played their next game (against Thomas Jefferson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
