Volleyball Game Preview: Gulf Coast HEAT Lions vs. North Port Bobcats

Gulf Coast HEAT is 1-9 against North Port since October of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. North Port took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gulf Coast HEAT, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Gulf Coast HEAT made easy work of The Classical Academy of Sarasota and carried off a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, North Port came up short against Babcock on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Bobcats have struggled against the Trailblazers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 15-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Gulf Coast HEAT will need to focus on slowing down Jaden Davis, one of several North Port players who made an impact when they last played. She had 24 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Natalie Shelton, who had 14 digs and four aces.

Gulf Coast HEAT's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for North Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
