Baseball Recap: Pettisville Blackbirds vs. North Central Eagles
If Pettisville was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Toledo Christian last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blackbirds took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Central Eagles on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 two weeks ago.
Pettisville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Ripke, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.
Pettisville's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for North Central, they moved to 3-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
