Baseball Recap: Byron Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Byron's offense. They lost 17-0 to the Webberville Spartans on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Byron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylen Fish, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Byron's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Webberville, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-14.

Coming up, Byron will host Mt. Morris at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Webberville, they will take on Morrice at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
