Soccer Recap: Tahquitz Comes Up Short

Tahquitz lost against San Jacinto on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tahquitz Titans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Jacinto Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 806th, while the Tigers are ranked 338th).

Tahquitz's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for San Jacinto, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tahquitz will face off against West Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. West Valley's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for San Jacinto, they will square off against Temescal Canyon at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. San Jacinto is facing Temescal Canyon at the right time seeing as Temescal Canyon is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
