Baseball Game Preview: Westlake Thunder vs. Lone Peak Knights

For the second straight game, Westlake will face off against Lone Peak. The Thunder will challenge the Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westlake has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight defeats, while Lone Peak will come in with three straight victories.

Westlake heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Wednesday. They came up short against Lone Peak, falling 6-0.

For Lone Peak's part, Grady Slesk was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Slesk was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Boston Walkenhorst was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Lone Peak's record now sits at 19-7. As for Westlake, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.
