Basketball Game Preview: Pelahatchie Chiefs vs. Richland Rangers + Official Tickets

The Pelahatchie Chiefs will venture away from home to take on the Richland Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Pelahatchie lost to Piney Woods at home by a 57-43 margin.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Laterrion Irvin, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Zion Grant, who put up 15 points.

Meanwhile, Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 60-31 loss at the hands of McLaurin. The Rangers were down 50-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Pelahatchie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Richland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Pelahatchie strolled past Richland in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 65-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chiefs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
