Basketball Recap: Stanton Takes a Loss

Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Pender Pendragons 51-21. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Logan Tiedtke was Stanton's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Barrett Wilke held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Stanton's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Pender, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Stanton will finish 2024 at home by hosting Twin River on Friday. Pender and Cedar Catholic will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
