The Fairwinds Christian Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Concord Christian Academy Minutemen at 5:00 p.m. Fairwinds Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Fairwinds Christian's 10-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 29-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faith Baptist School last Thursday. Fairwinds Christian found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 17 to 5 on offense.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Gabbie Moore, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Concord Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 65-12 loss at the hands of Greenwood Mennonite. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Concord Christian Academy has scored all season.
Brooke Flippo was Concord Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted ten points.
Fairwinds Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Concord Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Tuesday's game is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: Fairwinds Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 21 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Concord Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 18.8 rebounds per game. Given Fairwinds Christian's sizeable advantage in that area, Concord Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
