Volleyball Preview: Canyon Cougars vs. Medina Valley Panthers        
        
		
             After both having extra time off, the Canyon Cougars and the Medina Valley Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and  challenge  one another  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Canyon is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last five games.
 Last Tuesday, Canyon made easy work of San Marcos  and carried off  a  3-0 win.
 Canyon was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22,  25-23.
  Gabriela Anna Etter was the offensive standout of the  game as she  had seven  digs.
 Meanwhile, Medina Valley was able to grind out a solid  victory over Del Rio last Friday, taking the game  3-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Panthers.
 Medina Valley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Alaynnah Medley, who  had 11  digs, and   Mia Camacho, who  had three  digs. Medley is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 11 or more in the last three games she's  played.
 Canyon pushed their record up to 31-13 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. As for Medina Valley, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 24-15 record  this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Tuesday's  match:  Canyon has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 5.5  aces per game.
