Baseball Recap: Verbena Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Verbena's offense. They lost 19-0 to the Alabama Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 last Saturday.

Verbena has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. Alabama Christian Academy now has a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Verbena will face off against West Blocton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alabama Christian Academy, they will challenge Trinity Presbyterian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Trinity Presbyterian has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
