If East Lincoln was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Brockport on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell just short of the Victor Blue Devils by a score of 8-7 on Wednesday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ty Davis was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Ryker Wensil stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Matthew Phuntek was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

East Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Victor, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

East Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-2 victory against Lake City on the 17th. As for Victor, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-4 win against Auburn on the 17th.
