Basketball Game Preview: North Stokes Vikings vs. Patrick County Cougars

The North Stokes Vikings will head out to square off against the Patrick County Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

North Stokes is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight games dating back to last season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 60-18 loss at the hands of East Surry. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since January 17th.

Meanwhile, Patrick County played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 50-16 loss at the hands of Chatham. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Patrick County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Stokes, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

North Stokes came out on top in a nail-biter against Patrick County in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 40-37. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
