Volleyball Recap: Willow Canyon Wins Going Away Against Lake Havasu

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sunrise Mountain, Willow Canyon was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lake Havasu Knights. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Willow Canyon not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lake Havasu between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-16.

Shia Chancellor paced Willow Canyon's offense, picking up ten kills. Chancellor got some help from Keely Blady and her 11 assists. Blady was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Willow Canyon's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 13-10. As for Lake Havasu, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.

Willow Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Dobson on the 26th. As for Lake Havasu, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Kellis on the 29th.
