Volleyball Recap: Knoxville Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Knoxville Christian entered their tilt with Maryville Christian on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Eagles back in September, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Knoxville Christian never let Maryville Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23.

Savanah Dunham paced Knoxville Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dunham got some help from Lily Warren and her 16 assists. Dunham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Knoxville Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Maryville Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Knoxville Christian will take on rival Fairview Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maryville Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Cedar View Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
