Volleyball Recap: Sagemont Prep Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sagemont Prep can now relate to. They fell just short of the Atlantic Christian Sharks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sagemont Prep took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-10, 16-25, 25-21, 15-7.

Despite the defeat, Sagemont Prep saw an underclassman step up: freshman Juliana Aristizabal had 24 digs and three aces. Those 24 digs set a new season-high mark for Aristizabal.

Sagemont Prep's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Atlantic Christian, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Sagemont Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Atlantic Christian, they will face off against Boca Raton Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blazers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Sharks surely won't give up without a fight.
