Volleyball Recap: Salinas Gets the Win

Salinas won the last time they faced St. Ignatius College Preparatory and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cowboys skirted past the Wildcats 2-1.

Steven Brandt paced Salinas' offense, picking up 11 kills. Brandt got some help from Dominic Vivit and his 15 assists. Ryan Rey controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Salinas' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Salinas will take on Palma at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they will be taking part in a tournament against Aragon at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
