Recap: Beauregard Hornets vs. Valley Rams
After flying high against the Notasulga Blue Devils last Friday, the Beauregard Hornets came back down to earth. Beauregard fell to Valley 41-35. The matchup was a 15-15 toss-up at halftime, but Beauregard was outscored by Valley in the second.
Beauregard's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lay Clark, who scored eight points, and Cooper Watson who scored six points along with two steals. Watson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.
Beauregard bumped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Valley, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.
Beauregard will head out on the road to challenge Tallassee at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Holtville at 3:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Holtville is ranked 302nd, while Valley is ranked 283rd).
