Football Recap: Castle Park Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Castle Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 32-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Cajon Valley Braves. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Evan Lopez threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Aiddien Smith was his top target, picking up 146 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. On the ground, Yiheng Hu rushed for 50 yards.

Castle Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for El Cajon Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Castle Park will face off against Hilltop at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for El Cajon Valley, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Santana at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
