Softball Recap: Bishop McNamara Mustangs vs. Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs
Bishop McNamara had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Southern Maryland Christian Academy a 19-0 shutout on Tuesday.
Madison Stewart and Isabella Webb made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Stewart pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Webb tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Stewart didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Stewart scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Webb went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
