Softball Recap: Lake View Drops Season-High Score on Prosser

Lake View scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Prosser Falcons by a score of 16-15. The Wildcats have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Amani Giannopoulos and Natalie Benitez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Giannopoulos went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Benitez got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Delilah Urcino, who earned one RBI and two runs.

Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Prosser, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake View will take on Jones at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 14.8 runs per game this season. As for Prosser, they will head out on the road to take on Von Steuben at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.78 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
