Baseball Game Preview: Munroe Bobcats vs. Franklin County Seahawks

Munroe hasn't had much luck against Franklin County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bobcats will face off against the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Munroe came up short against Liberty County on Tuesday, falling 15-8.

Jon Gay made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brantlee Suber, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Franklin County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 12-2 to Madison County on Thursday.

Franklin County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kobe Joseph, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Munroe suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Franklin County in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
