Wellington has gone 8-2 against Black River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Dukes will welcome the Pirates at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Wellington was able to grind out a solid victory over Mapleton, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dukes.

Black River won the last time they faced Lucas and Remington Dieter did her part to make sure it happened again. The Pirates put the hurt on the Cubs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday thanks in part to Dieter, who had 16 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times she's played.

Black River never let Lucas on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 25-10.

Black River's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Wellington, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Wellington came out on top in a nail-biter against Black River in their previous matchup on September 4th, sneaking past 3-2. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Dieter, who had 25 digs and four assists.
