Football Recap: San Juan Hills Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home + How To Watch

San Juan Hills had won six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 3-0 to make it seven. Everything went their way against the Chino Hills Huskies as they made off with a 42-21 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Stallions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Huskies are ranked 73rd).

San Juan Hills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Timmy Herr, who threw for 304 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Herr a new career-high in passer rating (160.4). San Juan Hills' leading receiver Luke Frith was Herr's top target yet again, picking up 185 receiving yards and three TDs.

San Juan Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dean Kolasinski and Tyler Adams. Another thorn in Chino Hills' side was Jacob Mullen, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Having lost for the first time this season, Chino Hills fell to 2-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Chino Hills still got an impressive performance from Jacob Jimenez, who rushed for 118 yards and one score. Jimenez is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 109 every time he's taken the field this season. Alex Medyn was in the mix as well, providing Chino Hills with two touchdowns.

San Juan Hills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-26 defeat against Rockwall-Heath on the 12th. As for Chino Hills, they have also already played their next contest, a 37-3 win against JW North on the 11th.
