Glenwood and Springfield are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Glenwood Titans will challenge the Springfield Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Glenwood sitting on seven straight victories and Springfield on three.

On Tuesday, Glenwood blew past Lanphier, posting a 65-20 win. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Lions are ranked 403rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Springfield beat Sacred Heart-Griffin 43-31 on Tuesday.

Springfield pushed their record up to 18-11 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Glenwood, their win bumped their record up to 21-8.

Glenwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Springfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 46-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glenwood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
