            Baseball Recap: North Hunterdon Lions vs. Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            It was a proper cat-fight when North Hunterdon challenged Bridgewater-Raritan on Tuesday. The Lions lost  7-1 to the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Lions have suffered  since April 1st.
North Hunterdon got a good showing from  Nick DeSimone, who   pitched 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Those  zero  earned runs gave  DeSimone a new career-low.
 On the hitting side, North Hunterdon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alex Famolari, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run.
This is the second loss in a row for North Hunterdon and  nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Bridgewater-Raritan,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 4-10.
 Looking ahead, North Hunterdon will face off against Middlesex at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Bridgewater-Raritan will be paying especially close attention to the Lions'  match: after the Lions face off against the Bluejays, they'll take on Bridgewater-Raritan again  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
