Basketball Recap: Muncie Central Takes a Loss

Muncie Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lapel Bulldogs, falling 60-30. The Bearcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.

It was another big night for Laniah Wills, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards for Lapel. The contest was Wills' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Goodwin, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points.

Muncie Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Lapel, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Muncie Central has already played their next game (against Kokomo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lapel is taking a road trip to face off against Wapahani at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lapel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.
