The Master's Academy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lake Lure Classical Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Raptors at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in The Master's Academy's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Lake Lure Classical Academy has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between The Master's Academy and Community Christian Academy, and The Master's Academy kept the tradition alive. The Lions' pitcher stepped up to hand the Warriors a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Matthew Herring made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, The Master's Academy got a big performance out of Sawyer Waugh, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Luke Pate, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
The Master's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Community Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .118.
Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy hit Lake Lure Classical Academy with a nine-run second inning last Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raptors lost 13-3 to the Gryphons.
Nixon Vivolo was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
The Master's Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Everything went The Master's Academy's way against Lake Lure Classical Academy when the teams last played back in April, as The Master's Academy made off with a 13-5 win.
