Game recap: Manatee High School Football Team bests Palmetto

PALMETTO, Fla. - After two lead changes, Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.) took the lead for the win when Marquel Hines ran for a touchdown with 11:00 remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat Palmetto (Fla.) 34-14 on Saturday.

After trailing 14-7 at the half, the Tigers went ahead on a touchdown with 11:00 left in the third.

Manatee went into the matchup giving up only 8.0 points per game.

MHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 62-0.

The loss comes after Palmetto defeated Bayshore 41-38 last week. The loss broke Palmetto's three-game winning streak.
