Morristown came out on top against South Decatur on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run sixth inning. The Yellow Jackets were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Cougars. That looming 17-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Yellow Jackets yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Nevaeh Cox, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Kayla Cox also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Morristown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Decatur only posted a batting average of .182.

The victory got Morristown back to even at 7-7. As for South Decatur, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7.

Morristown has already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against Triton Central on the 10th. As for South Decatur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-0 win against Crothersville on the 12th.
