Baseball Recap: Vernon Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Vernon's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Holliday Eagles on Friday. The Lions have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Holliday, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vernon will venture away from home to face off against Windthorst at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holliday, they will head out to square off against Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
