Basketball Game Preview: West Covina Bulldogs vs. Northview Vikings

The West Covina Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Northview Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northview took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on West Covina, who comes in off a win.

West Covina will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Charter Oak, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. West Covina came out on top against Charter Oak by a score of 54-41 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 56-28 loss at the hands of Rowland. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1042nd, while the Raiders are ranked 487th).

West Covina's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Northview, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

West Covina beat Northview 40-28 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Covina since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
