Basketball Recap: Palm Harbor University Takes a Loss

Palm Harbor University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the St. Petersburg Green Devils, falling 74-43. The Hurricanes lost against the Green Devils in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 46-44 score last time.

Despite the loss, Palm Harbor University still got an impressive performance from Curtis George, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points. Ayden Wallace was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Palm Harbor University's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for St. Petersburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Palm Harbor University wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-61 defeat against Mitchell on the 16th. St. Petersburg has also already played their next matchup, an 81-41 win against Pinellas Park on the 15th.
