Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cherokee). They breezed by the Aline-Cleo Cougars to the tune of 75-29 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chiefs also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Cherokee's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Aline-Cleo, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee will host Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cherokee is facing Buffalo at the right time seeing as Buffalo is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Aline-Cleo, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Aline-Cleo Cougars face off against the Canton Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on January 14th.
